Why Hexachroma

Flagship polarized clarity for complex outdoor light.

Outdoor glare rarely comes from one clean direction. Hexachroma is tuned to soften harsh, shifting reflections while preserving the contrast and detail you need to read the road, water and changing shade.

Road · trail · water · driving · daily outdoor

Controls complex glare

Helps with reflections from wet roads, water, glass, metal and bright pavement, not only one smooth surface.

Preserves useful detail

Keeps road texture, water layers, metal edges, shadow change and colour contrast easier to read.

Easier quick screen checks

Common phone, watch and dashboard checks stay easier than with many typical polarized lenses while glare control remains active.

Screen behaviour still varies by device, brightness and viewing angle. Hexachroma does not guarantee perfect visibility at every angle or eliminate every reflection.

Explore Hexachroma lens technology

Hexachroma™ is a polarized lens that also stays more readable on phones, sports watches, car displays and navigation screens. UV400 is the protection baseline; polarization reduces glare; Hexachroma is 2nu's answer when you need both glare control and screen-friendly polarized performance — not a switch to non-polarized lenses.

Choose lenses by how you actually use your sunglasses outside

2nu sunglasses are built for outdoor movement. Start with UV400 protection, then decide how much glare control and screen readability you need for running, hiking, water, driving checks and daily outdoor use.

UV400, tint and polarization are different jobs

UV400 filters ultraviolet light. Tint changes visible brightness. Polarization reduces certain reflected glare from roads, water and bright surfaces. A darker tint does not prove stronger UV protection, and polarization is not automatically best for every screen-heavy outdoor routine.

Why some polarized lenses make phone screens look worse

Phone, watch and car displays can look darker, striped or rainbow-tinted through some polarized lenses because of how the screen light is filtered. If you often check a phone or sports watch outdoors, compare lens options before you buy on glare control alone.

Hexachroma: polarized and screen-friendly

Hexachroma is 2nu's advanced polarized option for shoppers who want stronger glare control with better outdoor screen readability. It is not a non-polarized workaround. If screen readability matters, compare Hexachroma against traditional polarized options instead of dropping polarization entirely.

  • TVO: clear outdoor detail with UV400 protection for everyday active use.
  • TVO Pro: stronger glare-oriented polarized performance for bright reflective conditions.
  • Hexachroma: polarized glare control plus more screen-friendly readability for phones, watches and navigation displays.

Match the lens to the activity

Running and humid roads often need stable vision plus occasional watch checks. Hiking needs changing light and trail detail. Water adds reflected glare. In every case, confirm UV400 first, then choose glare control and screen needs together.

FAQ

Is non-polarized the 2nu answer for phone screens?

No. For 2nu, Hexachroma is the polarized screen-friendly path. Do not treat non-polarized lenses as the brand solution for screen readability.

Does Hexachroma still reduce glare?

Yes. Hexachroma remains a polarized option aimed at outdoor glare control while improving screen readability versus many traditional polarized lenses.
